On February 23, 2021, the OPTOMICS partners met for the first time as a consortium. The principal investigators of each member organization of the consortium introduced themselves, their institute or enterprise, and key personnel that will be involved in the project. Furthemore, important deadlines and goals were decided and the steering and dissemination committees were established. The meeting was held online due to the ongoing global situation with SARS-CoV2.
